Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave a long interview to mark the 100th anniversary of Ukrainian Radio. In it, the politician spoke about his expectations of the Trump presidency, mobilization, and his vision of ending the war.

This is reported on the Suspilne YouTube channel.

According to Zelenskyy, negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow are possible only if Ukraine is strong. This also requires the position of the new US President, Donald Trump, and the country as a whole. He added that if negotiations are held in the current situation, it will be a losing option for Ukraine.

The President added that the conversations have been good so far, as Trump wants to end the war, supports Ukraine and appreciates its courage and strength. He noted that the war would end faster if Trump became president. However, there is no exact date, of course.

Regarding mobilization issues, the President emphasized that a balance must be sought to maintain the unity of society and the army. He added that after the new law on mobilization, not enough citizens have been mobilized. At the same time, in his opinion, it is wrong to say exact numbers, as NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Lytvynenko does.

The head of state also said that tests of four types of Ukrainian missiles are underway. Currently, there are no high results in the production of drones and electronic warfare, but they are still there.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that everything should be done to ensure that the war ends next year through diplomatic means. According to him, the situation at the front is difficult, as the Russian army is slowly putting pressure and advancing.
