China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, emphasized that stable and healthy relations with the United States are only possible on the basis of mutual respect for the sovereign interests of each country. He also characterized peaceful coexistence as a fundamental condition that cannot be ignored.

Wang said this at a press conference.

According to him, China’s relations with the United States should be built on three pillars: respect for each other, peaceful existence, and cooperation that is beneficial to both sides.

The minister also expressed hope that the United States would take an unbiased and logical approach to China’s progress and fulfill its commitments.

According to Wang Yi, the US strategy aimed at limiting China’s development is not static and is constantly evolving. At the same time, the list of unilaterally imposed sanctions is growing, and unjustified accusations against China are reaching unprecedented levels.

At the same time, he emphasized that the fundamental principle of relations between China and the United States is the principle of peaceful coexistence, as any conflict or confrontation between the two countries could lead to unforeseen and catastrophic consequences.

The Chinese minister said that the harmonious coexistence of the two countries is considered a “red line” that should not be crossed. The consequences of a military confrontation between the two countries could be unpredictable and catastrophic.

He also noted that the main problems for the United States arise from internal causes, not from China’s external influence. If the United States continues to focus on containing China, it could lead to negative consequences for itself.
