The missile attack on Odesa by Russian-terrorist forces on March 6 occurred not far from the location of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, just half a kilometer away.

CNN reports this with reference to its own sources.

Eyewitnesses reported that the security guards accompanying the Ukrainian president and the Greek prime minister felt a powerful explosion. Witnesses saw the appearance of a large smoke cloud that resembled the shape of a mushroom.

According to CNN, President Zelenskyy has repeatedly visited the front lines of Ukrainian troops despite the risks and has hosted numerous international leaders in Ukraine throughout the ongoing war with Russia. However, yesterday’s incident could serve as a serious warning to the country’s leadership.

The missile attack, which occurred near Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis, highlights the risks associated with such diplomatic travel.

During a tour of Odesa organized by Zelenskyy for the Greek prime minister, the two leaders heard air raid warnings.

“After we got into our cars, there was a loud explosion. This was a living reminder that the war here is a reality that affects not only the military on the front line, but also civilians on a daily basis,” Mitsotakis said during a press briefing.

As a reminder, yesterday the Greek media outlet Protothema reported that a Russian missile attack took place 150 meters from Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s location.

According to reports, five people were killed in an attack on Odesa’s port infrastructure by Russian forces on March 6.
