The online media outlet Ukrainska Pravda has revealed a scheme of trade relations between Poland and the Russian Federation, which are conducted through Belarus. Before that, Polish police detained Ukrainian journalists on the border with Belarus.

UP posted a video on its YouTube channel showing how Poles are increasing trade with Russia.

The story shows how a man who introduced himself as a manager of an existing company from Belarus called a Polish company at the request of journalists.

The man openly offered to buy Russian agricultural products – rapeseed meal – with Belarusian papers. The Polish manager, despite the fact that it was a Russian product, asked for the terms of delivery to be sent to him by e-mail.

Last September, under pressure from protesting farmers, Poland blocked imports of Ukrainian rapeseed meal. However, since then, the amount of agricultural products from Belarus has continued to grow, Ukrainska Pravda reports.

Journalist Mykhailo Tkach, who was arrested by Polish law enforcement along with the cameraman, said that in the 3 months after the veto on imports of agricultural products from Ukraine, Poles bought $8 million worth of rapeseed meal through Belarus.

After that, he personally went to the border of Poland and Belarus, but before that, he showed how dozens of trucks stopped at the Medyka checkpoint in the direction of Ukraine because of the actions of Polish farmers. At the same time, there were no protests on the border with Belarus.

The reporter counted hundreds of trucks near the Kukuryki checkpoint that easily entered Poland from Belarus. According to investigators who spoke with carriers, Russian agricultural products first go to Belarus, where they are reloaded in special centers onto Polish trucks, and then the trucks go to Poland to the addresses of large companies.

The publication claims that there are at least three companies in Poland that are the largest consumers of agricultural products from Russia: Bromex, Diaspolis and Kampol Krzysztof Łużniak.
