Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas showed a photo of her breakfast, with no Russians in sight.

This was done after the publication of an article in Politico, which discussed Callas’s future political prospects in European politics. In particular, one of the options (though unlikely) was that she would become the future NATO Secretary General. However, according to the publication, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis have much greater chances to lead the North Atlantic Alliance now. The Dutchman is the main favorite in the race, though his candidacy is not particularly well received by NATO members bordering Russia.

As for Kaja Kallas, there is a high probability that she could become the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

“This is an option that has long been discussed, and many influential Europeans hope that French President Emmanuel Macron will support her candidacy. However, not everyone is convinced that she has a chance,” the article notes.

According to one EU official, who asked not to be named, Kallas’ candidacy for the EU’s top diplomat is “questionable” in some European capitals.

“I do not believe that France and Germany will support this, for the same reasons that she is not suitable for the North Atlantic Alliance. Do we really want to appoint a person who loves to eat Russians for breakfast?” the source told the publication.

With today’s photo, Callas refuted the unnamed official’s information, showing that her gastronomic preferences differ from those attributed to her.
